About me – Once upon a time
There is one period about me where I frequently ask myself, “What is my purpose in life?” “What is life all about?” “Who am I?”
No. No. It is not the Jackie Chan’s movie…but more like of me asking the Almighty for guidance in life purpose and direction…what am I supposed to do and…are there really an Almighty in the first place?
That is the time when I felt like I am lost, that life is meaningless, and wanted to isolate myself.
In brief about me now
Hi, my name is KL Chang. The above happened in a period of my life where my then girlfriend and I part way on good terms…but more like reluctantly. I have to admit I was heartbroken and very sad. I cannot remember how many days I have cried (don’t laugh, ok!).
Looking back, it seems laughable now but that was how I felt then. Anyway, life goes on and I grow up from that sad episode of my life.
And it is due to this episode that started me on a spiritual journey looking for answers on life. I can say that this is the turning point of my life.
The answer to life, once you know, was simple but profound. However, it is not easy to achieve and…you know what…Almighty does exist.
Now I am the HR Manager in a manufacturing concern. My life is not lacking in anything and I am happy with what life had given me so far…caring parent, loving wife, three lovely children, and a career that I love. What more can I ask for?
I have no complaints and only have gratitude to Almighty and to all living beings that I know, yet to know, and going to know. It is all blessings, sometimes in disguise.
Bil Keane once said,
“Yesterday is history,
tomorrow is a mystery,
today is a gift of God,
which is why we call it the present.”
How true! We will be happier living in the present and cherishing every moment life give us. Be positive. When life gives us a lemon, we make lemonade or make the best out of the situation.
Not all will be easy, but with courage, patience, determination and an open mind, most will come to pass. There are lessons to be learned in every life experiences. Learned it and move on.
About this website, A Golden Future.
Actually, I was looking for a different site name…more to starting a home/online business. Somehow, the one that I have in mind is taken up and a lot of suggested name does not resonate with me except this.
It gives me a vision of a better tomorrow and if I am committed and willing to put in the effort, I can achieve what I, and my family, want. Not necessary in monetary terms, though.
Somehow, I also have a special feeling to the ‘golden image’ that appear in my mind at that instant. A vision of a loving, peaceful and harmonious world – where all people live happily together as one big community; irrespective of nationality, race, gender, and religion. No hatred, no discrimination…only genuine love. A ‘golden’ future.
Life is not only about this earthly life alone. As we all know, all of us will die one day and we are not able to bring any earthly ‘bling-bling‘ with us. Yup, not even one penny. There must be a reason why Jesus said this in Matthew 6:19-21 KJV:
Matthew 6:19-21(KJV)
19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
But, how do you lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven? What treasures? The answer is in verse 21. Easy to understand, but difficult to grasp.
That gave me the hints to branch out to a different niche from what I have intended. You will find inspiring spiritual and positive books, articles, or videos that I had benefitted from and I am sure it will be of help to you too – leading you to a more happy and meaningful life.
You are welcome back to this site for more inspiring, maybe controversial, articles and updates. So, bookmark this site. Let us all learn to agree to disagree. The thing that is more important to me is that you benefited from it and become a much better person than before.
If you always have a dream of starting your own business, why not have a look at this? You do not have to commit. Just explore. Commit only when you think it benefits you. I am still a member myself and have learned a lot and am still learning.

Most of us have a turning point in life that makes us seek answers and start along a more spiritual path.
I love the name of your site and firmly believe that the golden age is coming.
You are so right, Linda.
However, not everybody will realise the spiritual path.
Many people were born and died every day.
Most of us just live day to day, trying to survive.
Some are successful and the majority are just so-so.
The spiritual path is far from their mind.
What is their purpose in life then?
Our physical body will definitely disintegrate.
How about our soul? Where will it go?

The golden age is definitely coming…but at what price?
