Chapter VI – On Repentance

Once there was a big gathering of scholars and commoners from Kwong Chow, Shiu Chow, and other places to wait upon the Patriarch to preach to them. Seeing this, the Patriarch mounted the pulpit and delivered the following address:

In Buddhism,

we should start from our
Essence of Mind
.
At all times let us
purify our own mind
from one Ksana (thought moment)
to another,
tread the Path by our own efforts,
realise our own Dharmakaya,
realise the Buddha in our own mind,
and deliver ourselves by a
personal observance of Silas;

then your visit will not have been in vain. Since all of you have come from afar, the fact of our meeting here shows that there is a good affinity between us. Now let us sit down in the Indian fashion, and I will give you the

“Formless” Repentance.

55. Why is it that as the state of practice advances, the practitioner of Tao faces tests of devil in ten folds? (& Q56 to Q59)

Since mankind came to Earth in Yin Phase, we all lived through many lives. Through these lives, we have accumulated tremendous debts and sins and caused many catastrophes.

We committed sins and owed debts to others in one life, came back in another life to try to repay, but instead, accumulated even more. Thus we are trapped in the cycle of birth, death, and rebirth.

For those who have received Tien-Tao and sincerely practice Tao, all those whom the practitioners trespassed against are now worried that debts cannot be collected if the practitioners return to God’s kingdom forever. 41. Should one become a vegetarian after receiving Tien-Tao? (& Q42 to Q46)

It is of utmost importance to be a vegetarian after one receives Tien-Tao. The True Self is pure and clean. To retain such purity, one should not allow any contamination.

If the True Self is contaminated, it becomes lost. To restore the True Self to its original brightness, the practitioners of Tao must filter out all impurities.
