20. What is the meaning of the statement “The golden rooster crows three times”, often mentioned in Scriptures and lectures?

The statement is the prophecy of the future coming of Mi-Le Buddha in Tien-Tao. It implies that preceding the destruction of the world, Mi-Le Buddha will express himself three times through miracles, and on the third time, manifest Tien-Tao to the world in person.

Gold is one of the five fundamental elements. In orientations, it represents the west. “Rooster” refers to the year of the Rooster (You) in the Chinese lunar calendar; it also implies the orientation west and the color white.

Therefore,

the “golden rooster
symbolizes the coming of
Mi-Le Buddha

in a specific year of the Rooster in the White Yang period.

The pattern of Tien-Tao’s descent is analogous to the changes of the four seasons and the movement of the sun. In seasons, the sequence is spring (green), summer (red), and autumn (white).

In the movement of the sun, it rises in the east, moves to the south, and sets in the west. Analogously, Tien-Tao descended first in the Green Yang Period, then the Red Yang Period, and finally the White Yang Period.

Thus, “golden rooster” also symbolizes the beginning of changes in the west, as well as the mission of Jin-Gong Zu-Shi. 20 (The Title was conferred to Mi-Le Buddha by God after he fulfilled his mission as the Seventeenth Patriarch of Tao in the East.)

To crow three times means that before the Final Catastrophe, Mi-Le Buddha will express himself three times to manifest Tien-Tao clearly to all.

The first crow

took place on March 3, 1926, in Shan-dong Province, China. Mi-Le Buddha expressed himself through the miracle of Mr. Yang Chun-ling, an ascetic of Shan-xi Province, China.

The teachings given by Mi-Le Buddha through Mr. Yang were written down as The Mystic Doctrine of Jin-Gong Zu-Shi and The True Teaching of Mi-Le Buddha. The entire event spanned one-hundred days, in which Mr. Yang did not eat anything at all.

The second crow

took place in 1929. Mi-Le Buddha again expressed himself through the miracle of Mr. Du Yu-kun of He-nan Province, China, for a month.

The third crow

will take place when Jin-Gong Zu-Shi himself comes to the world and manifests Tien-Tao so that all who are predestined to encounter him can return to Heaven with his help.

Hence, the true meaning of the statement “The golden rooster crows three times” is that when the third crow comes, it is the time for the manifestation of Tien-Tao, and also the time for the arrival of the Final Catastrophe.
